Tech Support in the Wild

John and I went to see Thor: Raggnarok last night.  The movie was awesome, but this post is not about that.  It’s about this:

the sweet chairs that many movie theaters have these days.  We got to our seats and tried to recline, only to discover that both of our seats were broken.  So much disappointment!  We were about to spend two hours and ten minutes sitting upright.  Luckily one of us works in tech support.  That mindset doesn’t really turn off.  I thought it was weird that both of our chairs seemed broken, and by broken I meant they didn’t do anything.  They just sat there like normal chairs.

We were sitting on the end of the row, so on a hunch I got up and shined my phone’s flashlight behind the seat.  Sure enough, the plug for our seat was laying on the ground.  Moved the seat, plugged it in and we were good to go.

Crisis averted.
